We are a small, focused team with deep expertise in literary rights, publishing, and media. Every relationship we build is grounded in trust, discretion, and a shared passion for literature.

  • Joshua Grabiner

    CO-FOUNDER

    Josh is an experienced lawyer and media investor, having spent a decade at Linklaters LLP advising domestic and global companies on governance, mergers and acquisitions, before joining the Grabiner Family Office and founding Portland Literary.

  • Daniel Grabiner

    CO-FOUNDER

    Dan is a media investor and economist. Over the past fifteen years he has invested in, acquired and advised media and intellectual property businesses in the UK and internationally. He holds an MBA from London Business School.

Dan and Josh are cousins and partners in the Grabiner Family Office and have invested in a wide range of media businesses from intellectual property, film and TV production and post-production to film and theatre financing and artificial intelligence.

They enjoy a wide range of literature from thrillers and classics to biography and historical fiction. Both have young families so currently spend most of their time reading Shirley Hughes, Julia Donaldson and Lucy Cousins!

    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

    Leila is a chartered accountant with over 15 years’ experience in finance, operations and business development. She has led financial strategy and operational development for various organisations, with particular focus on supporting mission-driven and social impact ventures. Leila brings strong analytical, financial management and organisational expertise to the team.

    Corinne is one of the most experienced and distinguished figures in literary estate management, having been managing director of Ian Fleming Publications Ltd and advisor to a host of leading individual literary estates for decades.

  • David Young

    SENIOR NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    David is an experienced owner and manager of publishing companies having been Chairman and CEO of Hachette USA, Deputy CEO of Hachette UK and CEO of Orion Publishing Group, as well as Chairman of the Association of American Publishers. He was for eight years a director of Tate Enterprises and was a non-executive director of Scholastic Corporation and chairman of Canongate Books Ltd.
